How it works
Three steps.One big idea.
Your story is your superpower.
- 01
Know your story
Your child writes and draws what they enjoy, who helps them, and what makes them more than how they look.
- 02
Dream your future
They picture something they want to learn, create or become, and how that dream could help someone else.
- 03
Go after it
They plan one small first step, choose who can help, and come back to write down what they learned.

From the author
Hi, I’m Samuel.
I know what it feels like to look different. I have alopecia. When I was a kid, my hair fell out, and some kids teased me for it. My family and a few kind friends helped me through, and music gave me a way to use my voice.
At 16 I sang and rapped on NBC’s The Voice. No coach turned their chair. I was disappointed, but I kept going.
I made this workbook so your child can discover that their story matters too, and that one setback never decides who they’ll become.
What age is it for?
It's made for elementary-age kids. Younger children can draw and talk through their answers with you. Older kids can write on their own.
How does shipping work?
Your workbook is printed when you order and shipped by our print partner, Lulu. You'll see the shipping cost and delivery options at checkout before you pay.
Does it talk about bullying?
Yes, gently. One page teaches kids that bullying is never their fault, to move toward safety, and to tell a trusted adult. Kids are never asked to share personal experiences.
Can my school order copies?
Yes. Email samuel@samuelpicou.com about class sets, or ask about bringing the Finding Your Purpose assembly to your school.
