For parents · Zoom coaching · ages 10–13
Confidence andpurpose, one step at a time.
Samuel Picou grew up with alopecia, was bullied for looking different, and heard “no” from every coach on Season 5 of NBC’s The Voice. Now he mentors kids through the same questions: who am I, what do I do when people are unkind, and what could I build with my life?

The four-week curriculum
Built on the Finding Your Purpose message.
- Week 1
Know your story
Name strengths, interests and the people who help — and separate who you are from how you look or what others say.
- Week 2
Differences, bullying and rejection
What to do when someone is unkind, how to get help from a trusted adult, and how to keep going after a “no.”
- Week 3
Dream and choose a goal
Explore something meaningful to learn, create or do for others, and pick one goal worth working toward.
- Week 4
A practical 30-day plan
Turn the goal into small weekly steps, a helper, a check-in date and a plan for when it gets hard.
Every paid option includes the Finding Your Purpose Family Workbook and a short parent kickoff and check-in. These are learning goals, not promised outcomes — every child moves at their own pace.

Optional focus · Alopecia mentoring
For kids growing up with alopecia.
Samuel lost his hair to alopecia as a child and knows what it is like to walk into school looking different. For families who want it, coaching can focus on exactly that: confidence, handling stares and questions, and finding people who understand.
The video is from an alopecia awareness meet-and-greet Samuel took part in courtside before a Dallas Mavericks game in Los Angeles — Charlie Villanueva’s “Charlie’s Angels” pregame gathering for kids with alopecia — alongside the former Mavericks forward and a Miss California titleholder, who both live with alopecia.
This is mentoring from lived experience, not medical advice. You never need to share medical information to request a session.

Scope
Education and mentorship: storytelling, reflection and practical goal-setting. Not therapy, counseling, medical care or crisis support. Alopecia mentoring is an optional focus drawn from Samuel’s lived experience, never medical advice.
Parents stay involved
A parent or guardian handles every request, consent, payment and message. Samuel does not message children privately, and a parent attends or stays nearby for every session.
Privacy
Sessions are not recorded unless you ask in writing. We collect only what the form asks for, use it to respond to you, and never sell it. Ask anytime at hello@samuelpicou.com to have your information deleted.
FAQ
Questions from parents
Is this therapy or counseling?
No. Coaching with Samuel is education and mentorship: conversations, reflection and practical goal-setting. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care or crisis support, and Samuel is not a licensed mental-health professional. If your child may be in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Who is the free session for?
One free 20-minute introductory Zoom session per family, initially for children ages 10–13. A parent or guardian books it and attends with their child. No purchase and no payment card are required, and nothing is charged afterward.
What happens in the free session?
Samuel gets to know your child and helps them name one strength, one challenge and one practical next step. You’ll leave with a clear idea of whether further coaching would help — with no obligation.
Is my request a booked appointment?
Not yet. Your request is saved and Samuel replies by email within two business days with available times. The session is confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email with a Zoom link.
How do I cancel or reschedule?
Reply to your confirmation email or write to booking@samuelpicou.com. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice when you can so the time can go to another family.
Do you focus on alopecia?
Only if your family wants to. Samuel grew up with alopecia, so mentoring around looking different is an optional focus based on his lived experience. It is not medical advice or treatment, and you never need to share medical information.
Is the workbook included?
Paid coaching includes the Finding Your Purpose Family Workbook. It was written for elementary-age kids, so for ages 10–13 Samuel uses its themes — your story, setbacks, dreams, a first step, kindness and what to do when someone is unkind — as a starting point for written reflection and conversation rather than as a coloring book.
How are payments handled?
Individual sessions can be paid online through Stripe’s secure checkout. It is a one-time payment — no subscription and nothing recurring. Checkout must be completed by a parent or legal guardian. After payment Samuel emails you to schedule; a session is booked only once you agree on a time and receive the Zoom details. The four-week group opens for payment only after real dates are set. If you have questions about cancellations or refunds, email booking@samuelpicou.com before purchasing.
